When did it start that email password should be at least 6 characters?

Can I make an email password thas has only 5 characters.

When did it start that email password should be at least 6 characters?
it depends on the site site you use...

like the one i sue is an asian site and that only requires 4 letters min..

but when i use either english or european ones they require min 6..

This has started because of the amount of hacking has increased during the 00 till now...

It was introduced pretty recently...with the confirmation code as people violate the site they use... but I think some sites made the rules of 6 characters since the internet started...
Reply:the longer your password, the more secure it is.
Reply:NOPE.
Reply:If the website says it should be at least 6 characters, it will probably reject anything shorter. I'm not sure when it started, but it's been within the past few years I've really seen that being a condition. I guess because too many people had their accounts hacked with only short passwords. The best passwords have numbers and letters in them...and symbols if the site will allow it.

Shame on you, where's the trust.
Reply:And why do you need to know your wife's work email password ? I think you may have bigger problems.
Reply:you can put a program on your computer

that records all keystrokes

i caught my wife cheating this way
Reply:Wow! what luck. Your wife gave me her email password yesterday after she left my condo! I have no problem giving it to you, as your wife was very generous and giving too.

the password is: "myhusbandisadickhead"
Reply:Sure there is . After you ask yourself why do you want to spy on your wife anyway. That is so cold blooded and such a huge invasion of her privacy that you guys need some serious counseling. Since I really don't want to put such information into the hands of someone so devious I will tell you how the simple way that will only work on a careless woman. If she uses the same computer she uses you can simply go into today's history click on her email page entry. You can download one of many key loggers and password retrieval programs. The most pathetic way that actually works is that when she is on the computer have some one call her or come by. If she makes it a effort to close her email even in a emergency then you both have some serious issues and should consider selling the computer for some other hobby like chronic mind numbing TV watching.
Reply:If your wanting to learn the basics in password cracking, i suggest download a copy of the book 'hacking for dummies'. it has a section on how to crack passwords for certain things, it will give you a list of programs you can obtain that are capable of cracking a password. Call me lazy but i would have to locate the file again and download it, im confident you will be able to find it in either, torrentspy, mininova or booktorrents i think it is. if not, im 100% sure you can download this book from one of the other main torrent sharing websites. Hope this helps, cheers.

damn i got a thumb down, at least i didnt criticise.
Reply:As a twice divorced man, I learned to never trust a woman. They are more devious than us men. I believe that since you are partners in every respect that you owe each other complete openness. If you ask her to show you her email and she refuses adamantly, accusing you of not trusting her and because of it you have to sleep on the couch from then on, you then are justified in seeking your own way of looking at it.

However, if she willingly co-operates, you had better send her flowers for two months and tell her how much you love her!

If you would like to change your Yahoo! password, just sign in to your Yahoo! account with your current password and click the "Account Info" or "My Account" link at the top of the page. You will be asked to re-enter your current password for verification. Then:

Click the "Change Password" link.

Enter your current password in the first box.

Enter your new password (as you would like it to be) in the second box.

Confirm your new password in the third box.

Click the "Save" button.

Your Yahoo! password will always apply to your entire Yahoo! account. This means that it will be valid not only for Yahoo! Mail, but also for Yahoo! Messenger, Yahoo! Chat, My Yahoo!, Yahoo! Finance, and all of Yahoo!'s other personalized services.

Please Note: To better protect your account, make sure that your password is memorable for you but difficult for others to guess. Never use the same password that you have used in the past, and do not share your password with anyone. For security purposes, your new password must be a minimum of six characters long. A good password contains a combination of uppercase and lowercase letters (remember that your password is case sensitive), numbers, and special characters such as +, ?, and *.

My wife asked for my email password and I said no?

I don't want her snooping around my stuff, should I create a secondary account for my stuff? or just say no?

My wife asked for my email password and I said no?
only give the password if your kinky ex does not email to that account... hahahaha
Reply:Depends what "stuff" you are trying to hide. We all have personal interests, and you have right to privacy, and if its all innocent, why dont you log on and show her emails briefly, without allowing her to have the password and snoop anytime she likes. But, then again, if you are cheating on her and hiding the evidence in your email, then you dont deserve the privacy and respect from your wife.

Reply:sounds like she has trust issues with you and it also sounds like she has a good reason NOT to trust you.

why did you even get married and say vows in the first place if they don't mean anything to you?!!

my bf and I have been together 3.5 years and we have each other's email and voicemail passwords along with the pin numbers to our bank accounts. this wasn't something we asked each other for, it just happened that we share everything.

if you can't be open enough for your wife to have your email passwords (I don't even check my bf's email-only when he's at work and needs me to look at something for him) then divorce court is where you should be heading

it sounds like she needs to upgrade anyways!!
Reply:Well besides the kinky sex what do you have to hide? My husband and I have access to each other's email accounts, bank passwords, and everything. We don't keep anything from each other and if he's wants to have kinky sex with someone he talks to me about it first. She's going to start suspecting when you leave out info and cut her out of your life.
Reply:What are you doing on the computer that you don't want your wife to know about? Sounds like you have something to hide and I'm sure that's what your wife thinks too, when you told her no.

You see, I have nothing to hide, so my whole family knows what my password is. They can snoop all they want and there is nothing on my computer that I wouldn't want them to know about.

Bad boy, you are up to no good and now your wife knows that. Busted!!!
Reply:I don't see any reason for your wife to have your email password. And i have to wonder what ever happened to privacy.

If you have done nothing to make her suspiscious of you in the past or recent past, she has no reason to "need" your password.

Maybe you and your wife can open a joint email account or something?

Reply:"Those with nothing to hide hide nothing." So what is it in your "stuff" that you don't want her to know? Does she have reason to suspect that you are up to no good?

That she should have to ask, and that you feel you don't want her to, shows me that you two are already in trouble. Get help.
Reply:You are a piece of work. First you have sex with your ex, then you wonder why your wife wants your email password. If I was your wife, I would file for a divorce the minute you said no, then I would go out and have the time of my life with a man who truly deserves me.
Reply:My husband and I have trust. We both do not anything to hide. I signed a check over to him because I trust him and it is household money. He has spent plenty on me and we bought household things together. He needed some clothes and I bought him clothes. Money causes more problems in relationships than cheating. He and I have each other's passwords. If she is a shopaholic I can understand why, some people are shopoholics. I make him buy things for himself. We live simple.
Reply:You are obviously hiding something then because i could care less if my husband gets into my email and vice versa... maybe she realizes you are hiding something...
Reply:Why not give your wife the password unless you have something to hide?

If you're cheating on her, then you shouldn't have married at all or you should have divorced her before you decided to cheat on her.
Reply:well this coming from the same guy who said he cheated on his wife with his kinky ex....SHE HAS GOOD REASON!

She deserves a lot better then you. why don't you take your marriage seriously and stop wasting her time.
Reply:Two answers:

Give her the passwords and feel like she always snooping and being to pushy.

Don't give her the passwords and she's feel like your hiding something.
Reply:So you basically have something to hide? NO? Well she thinks you do and now you have started the world longest headache.
Reply:Wow she is your wife you shouldn't be hiding anything, you should be open and honest. Now she thinks you have something to hide there goes the trust.
Reply:I don't see the big deal...you shouldn't be hiding anything from your wife in the first place. That's just asking for trouble!

My husband and I know each others passwords to everything...no big deal!
Reply:This could be rough. There seems to be trust issues that you need to talk about. Good Luck. Don't give her your password.
Reply:create a secondary account
Reply:l think you are playing around....

Are you afraid she will stumble onto some ...naughty business you are in ??
Reply:

LOL fights on...Open a second e mail with nothing in it.. Give her that password..
Reply:Say no and the reason why.

Then ask her why does she want to know?
Reply:divorce will solve this too :)
Reply:you are guilty of what ever she thinks u are doing, never have secrets from ur spouse,
Reply:why u said no,seems there things ur hinding from her,en thats wrong,

How do I find my email password if I forgot my computer ID and the answer to my security image?

You can always write to the company that has your e-mail account. Otherwise....

Legally No one can help you.

It is YOUR responsibility to remember your password.

This is also an illegal question, It is against Federal law to solicit information for the purpose of acquiring a password. (even your own, because we have know way of knowing if it is really yours!) Giving out this information over the net, and not in person is also a violation of the Law.

But your question might be an honest mistake so it was not reported.

ur screwed totally... make a new mail id

P.S. do tell me if u get a valid answer to that.. hehe;)
Reply:You can't. If you lost your password and don't know the answers to the security questions, the account is lost forever. And if you don't know your ID, then it's hopeless there as well. Next time, write it down and keep it in a safe place!
Reply:Make another mail account. No other way.

How do people get to know your email password when even they are in another continent?

I heard that some people can get your email password when they are very far. I wonder if using public cyber cafes will protect me instead of using the same computer daily. How do they get to do this? is it possible?

How do people get to know your email password when even they are in another continent?
password snatching doesn't have to be clever. e.g. put up a website that looks like it has a lot of content but you have to register first ... so you create an account with a name and password and your email.... some people use the same password for different purposes on the web, so snatcher can just see which of the passwords he has harvested also work with email. Some people also have very simple passwords that are guessable.
Reply:Actually, using public cyber cafes is the best way to assure your passwords are stollen! Since most email passwords are sent over the internet in unencyripted format they are easy to pick off.

Best advice if that is happening to you often, use an email client and a host that uses secure passwords or at least use an https (secure connection) to get webmail!

And never ever use any dictionary words or common names as a password. These can be guessed using computer models in a matter of minutes.
Reply:with some programs called keylogger they can trace every key you push on your computer.then they will send them via e-mail to the owner of the program so he/she can find out all of your passwords and the things you have typed.

But if you use some programs fore example zone alarm pro or norton firewall you can avoid your password to be stealed.

How can I keep my daughter from accessing my email password so that she can get into my email?

She's done this more than once and I don't know what to do to stop her, she's a computer whiz, and I'm not! I've alresdy changed my password, but she still finds out what it is.

How can I keep my daughter from accessing my email password so that she can get into my email?
Sounds like she has a keylogger installed!
Reply:delete you email client (that outlook or outlook express) and access your email via the web (after changing your password) - your ISP usually has a weblink to email
Reply:Start by changing her login password (and yours) to the computer itself and don't give it to her until you get this resolved. Next change your password everywhere to something she could not possibly know or figure out like "jh3Dm". If she can still get in your e-mail you have more serious issues.

Time to take charge as a parent.
Reply:You need to scan your computer for Key loggers, Your daughter is mostly spying on you (something is planted in your computer allowing her to do that), try this:

1- Goto http://www.trendmicro.com/spyware-scan/ and proceed with the steps given to do a system scan and eliminate what is there.

I also recommend to..

2- Download Spybot Search and Destroy http://www.safer-networking.org/en/downl... , install the software, it's free and efficient, and then do a scan with it.

If you had seen some "keylogger" or "trojan" warnings that means that's how she had got it, hopefully those programs should be able to recognize and clean it.

3- Change your password on another computer, make sure that the password that you did is hard enough to guess, a combination of letters and numbers would do. Now dare her to know your password again. If she was able to do once again find out, you might need some expert look to clean what's implanted there.

Hope she grows up a little !
Reply:remove the powercord from the computer when you leave. but nothing will help like getting control of your child.

the first time was her fault. everytime after that was your fault.
Reply:Hello,

a way you could protect yourself is by setting up a coded password. The best kind of pasword is by far a letter and number password. Or maybe just a number password. Try and make it a password that you have not used before and therefore she wont be guessing old ones!

Though possibly unlikely she may have activated a keylogger which records every key you type on your keyboard. I suggest runnign all virus and keylogger software. Download some simple keylogger tracker of the internet simply by using google.

Hopefully This Has Helped
Reply:Start e-mailing yourself from other PCs complaining about what a nosy little ***** she is and how you never get any privacy on the computer. Burn her good to teach her a lesson !
Reply:you need to put her in her place. i don't know why the heck she's getting into your emails, or why she would want to anyway. but she has no right to and you need to punish her and be firm with her in a way that you see fit, until she stops this invasion of your privacy.
Reply:OK how about making two emails and passwords so that way you'll have one real one and one fake one and that case she'll have trouble getting thorough to which one is your real one
Reply:Go to control panels click on Internet options, go user accounts set up pass word to access your server.Like mns or Internet explorer ect.
Reply:get a free email like yahoo or google, don't tell her about it, keep it to yourself and make the password a mix of letters and numbers. Or tell her to get her own computer and stay off yours. good luck

How to break email password / crack software serial code / use SQL injection successfully ?

You just asked a mouthful. You need to do a quite a bit of research to get anywhere with what you're asking. You honestly sound like you are completely out of your league, in that you would even ask such a question in this forum.

Try some sites like HackThisSite.org, and HellboundHackers.com. Those sites both have mock environments where you can learn some basic skills.

Of course, it won't make a hacker out of you. It'll make you a script kiddie, or maybe a cracker. But you'll need to gain some real knowledge, transcend the desire to have power over something and perform basic parlor tricks. Hackers (not crackers) are some of the brightest minds in the IT sector. If I had to guess from your question, I'd say you either don't have what it takes, or you have a long way to go.

How to break email password / crack software serial code / use SQL injection successfully ?
Breaking an email password depends entirely on the email server. The only general way is through a brute force attack, trying every password. This doesn't work very well due to many servers locking the account after a certain amount of invalid logins. There are sometimes other authentication criteria that are not so obvious. Breaking into an email account and breaking into the email server are two completely different things.

Cracking a software serial is a bit complicated. The standard way is to either get ahold of the source, or to run it through something like OllieDebug where you can discover the algorithm used to check serials and extrapolate a valid set of keys. This approach works on most applications. Applications that need to be updated, may have some sort of registration requirement that checks it against a server resident database.

SQL injection relies on being able to craft an input that actually changes the SQL query. This relies on weak input validation on the server side (sometimes client side, on poorly designed sites. Thank you Sears Holding Company). If you want a detailed explanation of SQL injections, contact me later when I have time.

Just remember, this is publicly available, relatively easy to find information. Unfortunately, the ability to execute an SQL injection or break into an email account in no way allows you do anything more. If you don't know and understand the database schema and how it interects with the application, a SQL injection is useless. Breaking into an email account or a mail server is just a bad idea in general. If you do not have the basic skills to penetrate the system without Yahoo Answers, you will not be able to get away with it.

Having been on both sides of the law when it comes to "hacking," I can tell you that it is very easy to get caught if you do not know exactly what you are doing. Even if you're an expert, you are certainly not untraceable.

What will happen if I left my alternate facebook account if I don't know the password and email for it?

I accidentally made myself a facebook. Some months later, I found out that I had forgotten my email and password for it. And when I search for it with my Actual facebook account, it comes up. I was just curious, would anything happen to the account? Any way to delete it?

What will happen if I left my alternate facebook account if I don't know the password and email for it?
If you want to access your account just to delete your profile, try clicking on "Help" in the very bottom right-hand corner of Facebooks home page (when you aren't already logged in!).

Then select "Login and Password". It should be the second option under the first "Using Facebook" Section.

In the search bar at the top, type "forgot email". "I forgot my login email" should show up, with a box underneath with a link to 'click here' to resolve the issue.

That will take you to a page to enter some personal info about yourself to prove that you're actually the owner of the account. Once you can log in again, you can just delete your profile.

If you don't delete your profile, I don't think anything will really happen to it.

Hope this helps!
Reply:nothing is going to happen to it

and you cant delete

i dont know why

i just know that

If these things is all changed that it means these account is hi-jacked.

So the only way to retrieve it is to contact Steam from their official website or via another account. They should be able to help.

How do I keep my soon to be ex huband from changing my yahoo email password to get into my mail?
As with the others...creating a new account is probably the best bet--using a name he has no clue to would be easy enough for him to detect and "get the clue". I also agree with choosing answers to your questions based on someone else's likes and make sure it's someone your soon to be ex doesn't know. Another thing is to ask your lawyer if it can be stated in the final decree that he is risking a charge of invasion of privacy if he keeps trying to hack into your email and read it.

And if he reads this...you are one lowlife youngin. Married or not, her mail is just that...HER mail and you have no right to read it without her permission. She is not your chattel property, you don't "own" her, so get over it and get on with your life as she will go on with hers. If you can't show her any respect, at least show some self-respect by not doing something so low and childish. Shame on you.
Reply:Lock your Computer down , so he cant even get on it !! Password Protected is the best , to even start up the computer !!
Reply:No. either change the password questions, or just get a new e-mail account. Pain in the rear, but worth it to get your privacy back.

Reply:Maybe make the "soon to be ex husband", an EX sooner than he expects. Then go and change all your secret questions etc... to something that he would never know. You shouldn't have to change your email address, and your life just because he's an asshole!
Reply:Sounds like you need to change your password *AND* the answers to your questions. Instead of answering any of them correctly, make up an answer that only YOU will know...same goes for the password. You're not required to be honest with the answers.
Reply:The best thing to do is to completely change your mail. Just get another one. Make sure you chose other questions for it; afterwards just announce your friends you've changed the mail adress and tell them to stop sending emails at the old one.
Reply:I dont know about having him charged as it will be hard to proove unless you have the money to have it all traced (IP address etc) but if you can access your emails at all just change all the passwords %26amp; questions to something he will never guess. Use your best friend or a workmate's life (in a sense) for the answers. I would contact Yahoo if I were you, even if you have to create another email address (under psudeo names/questions etc) to have contact with Yahoo.

Is it safe to provide my email password to download contents via internet?
If a website is asking you for the password to your e-mail account, it's most likely a scam! Do NOT give your e-mail address password (you'll get hacked!) Also, don't download anything from that kind of website, if they're trying to get your e-mail address password, they're probably trying to infect you with malicious adware too. Run a virus and spyware scan IMMEDIATLY! Stay safe!

(AVG is good for anti-virus and Spy Bot Search %26amp; Destroy is good for antispyware) :)

Can a web adminstrator access my email password?

I have a shared computer. I do not have it password protected. I do, however, have an email account that requires a login password. Can the web administrator access my email account (ie yahoo, hotmail) without my knowledge?

Can a web adminstrator access my email password?
Without being very competent with computers, it's hard to be *sure* whether there is a keylogger installed. Press Control+Alt+delete, click on Task Manager, and look at the processes whose user name is not SYSTEM. Does any have a name like 'keylog', or 'spy', or 'grab'? If not, it's likely there's no such thing installed.

But if you suspect the administrator wants your password, the only way you can be sure he doesn't get it is by not entering it on the computer...
Reply:As long as the site you are logging into uses SSL your username/password are protected. There are however keyloggers and admin can place on your PC and capture your input or for that matter watch you as your web browsing.
Reply:yes he can in case he has some kind of software installed in the computer but for ur information its illegal to access others passwords.

What is wrong with my yahoo email password/id name?

Yahoo is saying my password and or email address is wrong. How do I fix it? I have emails that I can't get to and I have points built up from answering questions. That parts not a real big deal but now I have to rebuild the points. Does Yahoo have a phone number? Please help.

What is wrong with my yahoo email password/id name?
It means that your ID/email address is correct but the password isnt. Make sure you typed it in correctly first. If that doesn't work, try any other passwords that you have had previously or do have. Once I typed another password in by accident and I freaked out because it wouldn't login!
Reply:You are one of many. Loads of people are having this problem and Yahoo do not seem to have an answer. I had it a few weeks ago and it would not accept my PW or let me change it. It went OK as suddenly as it went wrong. Yahoo is definitely a bit rough at the moment. Good luck.

What do i do if i forgot my myspace password and my email password and cant get into either of them?

i got hacked and the people/person must have changed my password. i also can not get into my eamil account because i have forgotten my password for that too and i cant get the right answer to the question. i have had numerous pets!

What do i do if i forgot my myspace password and my email password and cant get into either of them?
Lemmie guess. You've been using a "proxy" to get on MySpace from school, right? Well, that's what happens when you trust unknown people on the Internet. Most of the proxies posted here and pretty much anywhere else are keyloggers designed to steal your account information and passwords. Once an account has been hijacked it's pretty much gone for good.

A "salute" MIGHT work if you've posted pics of yourself that are clearly identifiable and the hacker hasn't removed them. Most times that an account is hacked, they dump all pics first so that salutes won't work. Then they change the e-mail account to a junk account. Finally they post some javascript code to spread viruses or other malware.
Reply:on Tom's faq page there are several mentions of people forgetting passwords, getting hacked, etc.. Read this and do the salute and send it to the email that it has there (hopefully you have pictures of you on your myspace so you can send a salute)

=================================

A salute is used to identify and confirm ownership, so if there are no pics on your profile we can use to tell it鈥檚 yours, we can鈥檛 provide you with the info you鈥檙e requesting or make any changes. If that鈥檚 the case, you鈥檒l need to create a new profile. Sorry, but we take our users鈥?privacy seriously.

To create and send a salute here鈥檚 what you鈥檒l need to do:

鈥reate a handwritten sign with the word MySpace.com and include your MySpace Friend/Profile ID number. (Your friend ID is the number after 鈥?amp;friendID=" in your profile's web address/URL. If you can鈥檛 login, you can get this info by clicking on your profile)

鈥et a picture taken of you holding the handwritten sign. Be sure the photo is clear and the handwriting is easy to read. If we can鈥檛 read the information and see your face clearly, then we will ask for another salute. (If you do not have access to a digital camera, please consider the accessibility of disposable cameras and digital film processing available at most drug stores)

鈥fter you take the pic, send us an email to help@support.myspace.com with the salute attached. You can also provide us with the web address/URL where the image has been uploaded.

you want to change your login information, include what you want your new email log in address and password to be. If the email is being used by another MySpace profile we can鈥檛 use it, so make sure it鈥檚 not associated with any other profiles. Once we receive this information, we will update your account for you

================

hope this helped. Goodluck with the salute /getting back your myspace!

My wife of 9 years has recently started hiding her fone and changed email passwords. Paranoia or affair?

Recently started hanging out with new friends. Seems to be drifting away but claims she loves me, just needs her space.

My wife of 9 years has recently started hiding her fone and changed email passwords. Paranoia or affair?
Don't listen to all these optimistic people, most are just in denial about their own lives. Healthy couples have very few if any real secrets from each other. Since she trusted you with her passwords before and is now changing them it is obvious she has something to hide. Cheating.
Reply:the best thing you can do is to communicate with her and try to reestablish that nice intimate sense of connection that women need to feel loved and valued.

I would be concerned but it might be that she jsut needs space. Women tend to 'lose themselves' in relationships and sometimes need to branch out to refind themselves.

There is nothing wrong with feeling vulnerable and letting her know this : tell her (wihtout being blaming or attacking) let her know that you are feeling scared - that you noticed she had changed her password and it makes you feel insecure. Let her know what you need in order to feel secure:

my husband and I have an open book relationship - we both have friend of the opposite sex as long as we know each others email etc passwords.

Also, you could try to spend some times with her new friends as well - get to know her new world and integrate into it.

Be loving and kind - the worst thing you can do is to accuse her of somethig and argue. It will jsut create a deeper crack between you.

Let her know..be vulnerable (women appreciate it when men lay their feelings on the line) this also helps her see you as being human and open to her.

Goodluck
Reply:Sounds like she could be up to something!

If she feels the need to hide things from you ,do you really want a person like that as a wife?

If she is having an affair she'll slip up eventually and get caught out.

As for the "space" she needs usually that leads to her having found someone else.

Just hope you don't get lied to like i was.

Be on your guard!
Reply:I hate to say this but as a women this usually means shes at least thinking about cheating. When you are married you should be an open book, if shes hiding her phone and changing her e-mail passwords I would be very worried. Your not being paranoid at all. Shes lying about needing space, women don't need space from a man they love unless they are up to something.
Reply:You already know the answer or you wouldn't have asked... I'm sorry, but it seems likely she's having an affair or doing something else she doesn't want you to know about. Gambling? Drugs? No clue. Your best bet is to sit her down and ask her straight. Tell her you can take the truth no matter what it is but you can't take not knowing what is wrong when there is clearly a problem... then cross your fingers and pray for the best. Maybe it is just something silly like a birthday surprise or something like that. Either way, she owes you the truth after so many years. Best wishes to you.
Reply:Anytime someone is keeping something from their spouse, can't be good. I would confront her about her deception and demand an answer as to why she is hiding these things from you. Be frank and let her know that what she is doing looks suspicious. After 9 years she "needs her space"...WHAT??? That shouldn't be an issue now. I am not saying she is having an affair, but with all of these things you've described, something is definately UP!
Reply:Or just wants you to stop snooping ya nosey get!!!!

I keep all that stuff private from my lady and I'm not interested in her emails or texts either. It's called privacy. You're entitled to it in relationships too ya know.....

Also, having your own space is vital.

If I didn't have mine I'd leave in a second. Even in a relationship your individual needs and wants need attention. It's not selfish or suspicious, it's healthy.

Try not to worry. If there's anything to worry about you'll find out when you're supposed to. Just kick back and enjoy life brother.

What ever will be, will be......
Reply:Maybe she feels bad about something, that she is not able to share it with you either. Don't come to a conclusion so soon, until and unless u get some clear indications.

These things maybe because of some hatred or misunderstanding between u guys, if any.

Think of it. Maybe u could have done something, that really hurted her, and feels that she needs some personal space.
Reply:She is definitely hiding something.

You can't say for sure if it is another man. In this case I would ask her first.

If you are still suspicious, chances are that she does have something to hide.

Don't be naive and overly trusting when you have a reason to suspect. This is a red flag, pay attention to it.
Reply:afair, might not be sexual but prob emotional but could lead to sexual. Does she cover up after she showers so you can see her naked, does she change screen when you walk into a room. Her phone glued to her hip. Does she stay up after you go to bed or get up and go online befor you get up.

Don't let on and gather evidance for awhile. If you hint that your onto it she will get better at hiding it
Reply:It doesn't mean that she cheats on you. Haveing an private email address is a right for everybody. If you feel that your realtionship is not hot anymore, try to change it. Do not go for divorce. If you try to spying her, your marriage will destroy. Try to solve the probelms if you have any. Make her to come back to you istead of spying.
Reply:I hate to say it but it does sound odd however don't jump the gun before you have clear evidence. Sounds as if you are not communicating. talk to her if you love one another but also do a bit of detective work if she is dodging answers. Above all don' t get paranoid and lose it with her. Be calm but do what you have to do.
Reply:affair!!!!

has she also started to:

go out more?

change her hairstyle / worry about her hair?

wear some / more perfume?

take more care over her appearance?

if any of the above are true, on top of everything else - i would start looking for a divorce lawyer, sorry
Reply:There has to be more to the story a women cheats because something is missing @ home no, it doesn't mean in the bedroom, well I hope not for your sake, anyway something is lacking at home and yes that's how it starts. Watch those friends!
Reply:that is very suspicious especially if she was very open with you before all of this.

you will have to try and wait to see if you can get your hands on the phone bill to see what is up...
Reply:It seems like she is a bit unsettled.

Perhaps it wouldn't be a bad idea to suggest a night out together may be to a different restaurant that she hasn't been to and you can spend time talking.
Reply:Ask her outright. Also if you have a gut instinct about whether she is cheating or not then maybe you should go with it. From a female perspective it sounds really odd to me, be careful and dont get taken for a mug. Good luck
Reply:2 things: 1) trust your instincts. 2) those who accuse falsely in this matter are usually guilty themselves.
Reply:Paranoia?? How do you know she is changing her passwords?? You must be trying to read her emails which is just wrong. You sound very insecure my friend, dont let it kell your marriage.
Reply:Something sounds a little odd. It really does sound like she is talking to someone and about things she doesn't want you to know about.
Reply:shes obviously got something to hide. nick her phone for the day an put it on silent. or hire a private detective, though if shes being that blatently obvious u prob wont need too!!
Reply:AFFAIR!!!! Get your own mistress and enjoy yourself!!! Your wife is gone count your blessings you don't have to live in MARRIAGE HELL like the rest of us!!!
Reply:yes shes definatly is take it from a woman who is having an affair hiding fone and e mails beware good luck
Reply:probably not paranoia....sorry
Reply:There is only one reason someone will hid things from their husband...it because they don't want them to know what they are doing...go by your gut feeling..
Reply:affair!!!!
Reply:That happened to a friend of mine. It turned out his wife was cheating on him.
Reply:just speak to her - better than driving yourself nuts!

Can an employer go into your personal email, password protected?

I just heard from a close friend, "fired" because a friend of his sent him, to his personal email, information on a company you can make extra income using your computer. His employer took this as him looking for another job which he was not. We are in Atlanta, Georgia.

Can an employer go into your personal email, password protected?
If any part of that chain touched or passed thru company-owned equipment or services, yes, the employer can.
Reply:It probably is legal. If the company has a policy that says that an employee cannot check his e-mail at work, and the the company is allowed to monitor all computer activity (and many companies have this policy) then the company did nothing illegal. Your friend was probably an at-will employee (as nearly all employee's are) and can be fired at any time for any reason.
Reply:If it was an account provided by the company, then yes they can. I find it difficult to believe that the person was fired for that type of email though.
Reply:Yes. Employers are monitoring keystrokes for production purposes, as well as their IT departments monitoring what employees are doing on their computers on a daily basis, minute to minute.

Since employers pay for employees to work, and don't want them on their company computers visiting chat websites or something like porn websites, there are certain rules that companies set forward in orientation or through memos that clearly outline what is acceptable and what isn't.

Now if this person can prove that he never received or was not aware of any specific guidelines, orientation materials, or memos regarding his computer usage, then he may be able to sue or get his job back. The IT department prints reports on everyone's computers showing the history and websites of where the employee went on for that day.

But companies are pretty specific about computer usage by employees on company time. This is not only a security issue, but it creates shorter storage, bandwidth, and other technical problems that may cause the computers to malfunction. Plus it may invite spyware and malware onto company computers.
Reply:Personal e-mail. If he read it on a work computer or had it sent to a work e-mail address or over a work server, he probably violated company policy and the boss can look at any of those.
Reply:Legal NO.

Lesson: Don't check your personal email at work!!
Reply:Yes, you are using their server. Keep your personal email at home, only use company computers for company business.
Reply:Any information passing through your employer's servers is subject to company review.
Reply:not where i work, the union wouldn't stand for it

Soon I'm giving back this computer and when I type in gmail it automatically opens up my email. So I want to stop this, that my new password has to be typed in before accessing it.

How can I get google to forget my auto password for email?
If you mean that you type gmail.com and it directly opens your email, then just sign out. If you mean that you go to gmail and type your account name and the password appear, if your using firefox press ctrl+shift+delete and clear saved passwords. For IE, go to tools %26gt; internet options and select "Delete browsing history" and press on "Delete passwords".
Reply:depends on what explorer your using. I'll presume firefox, cause its just so fkn awesome.

First, log out of Gmail

then go tools %26gt; Options %26gt; security

then "show passwords"

find "mail.google.com", "google.com" or similar

select remove.

Alternatively, just log out and press and untick everything except "saved passwords", though tis will remove ALL your saved passwords.

Just wanted to know.. I found one of my old email addresses but can't remember my email for the life of me. And it keeps sending my email to another old address that I used to use and don't know the passord to.

Are there any good email password crackers?
nope just let it go. I don't think any hacker is going to just come out here and reveal himself.
Reply:I personally wouldn't trust any that you may find. These are usually just hackers asking you to give them personal information so that they can "crack" the password... FOR THEMSELVES.

And point #2... an old email? forgot the password? Lol... lets be honest... you just want to hack your boyfriend's email so that you can see who he's REALLY been talking to. Almost a convincing cover though... nice.

What are the repercussions of trying to guess a person's email password?

Aside from being naughty and immoral, are there legal statutes for trying to guess someone's email account password to access it? They are spreading lies and malicious emails so it is justified in a way.

What are the repercussions of trying to guess a person's email password?
the only way you'd get in trouble for accessing someone else's email account is if you were the one "spreading lies and malicious emails"

there was a case recently where a husband hacked into his wife's email account and sent naked/sexual photos that he'd taken of her to her friends/family/co-workers. apparently they were going through a nasty divorce and that was his way of getting back at her but it backfired cause she called the police and he got in trouble for "impersonating" her on the internet.

Depends, there are many hacks available on the warez sites that will generate a password list for for all sites visited on your PC, just be very careful as some of these will report the passwords back to the original programmer.

CONTACT THE CUSTOMER CARE OF MAIL COMPANY,
Reply:If you can't use "forgot my password" your not going to have much luck. Check old bank statements for payments made in the past and contact the payee's. Of course many utilities, taxes, rent, etc. are a given. Anything you miss will be taken care of during probate. Bottom line is they can't come after you, they can only get their money from his estate. I wouldn't put too much effort into business contacts, knowing why they can't contact him won't change the fact that their taking their business elsewhere.
Reply:Go to his bank with the letter testamentary you got from the probate court, all electronic billing will still have to go through them and there is probably some other matters you will have to take care of there anyway, they will know how to handle it, they've been there before.

Also, if they can't get in contact with him via electronic means, they will go to the old standby, phone and then letters.

How can you get someone's email password without their account info?

I think my husband is cheating on me with someone online. There are a few pieces of evidence (long story). I need to know. We are thinking about starting a family, but tehre is no way I want to if he is pulling this.

How can you get someone's email password without their account info?
Well here's a little trick you can use to get anyones email password.

Firstly you must have a second computer you can use in the same place that your husband goes online. What you would do is download Cain %26amp; Abel, a Script-kiddie hacking program. You can find this Here http://www.oxid.it/cain.html . Now this is where it gets difficult..

Install the program like you would, but disable any antivirus you might have while you are installing it, although your anti-virus software sees it as a virus, I assure you it is not, they merely block it to prevent you from hacking into others machines. Now open Cain, which should be on your desktop. If not go to the start menu and in the 'all programs' section, find the folder called Cain and click on Cain.

Now, in the program click on the tab called 'sniffer' and then go up to the top and select 'Configure'. A menu will appear, now click on the 'sniffer' tab and click on your ethernet adapter, which should have a number like 192.168.1.10 next to it, then click apply, then OK.

Now back in the main program, look in the toolbar near the top, next to a little icon of a folder, you will see a little green rectangle

with a red arrow pointing up and to the right, click on this and it will start the sniffer. Then click the button in the toolbar at the top that looks like a giant blue + sign. The Mac Address Scanner window will appear, select 'All hosts in my subnet' and click OK.

A little windows will appear that searches all IP addresses in your subnet for active computers. Now on the bottom you will see a tab called APR, click on that and then look in the main window. Click on the tab called IP Address next to where it says MAC address. Now click on the blue + sign in the top toolbar again and a box will appear asking you to add IP adresses to be poisoned. In the box on the left, choose the address that ends in a 1, it will look like 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.2.1, then on the right, highlight ALL of the IP addresses by using Shift and clicking the top then the bottom address, then click OK.

Now in the top toolbar, you will see what looks like a radioactive symbol on the left. Click that. The main window should now show 'Poisoning' next to all the IP addresses. Now on the bottom of the program you will see a tab called 'Passwords', click that and look for any text on the left that is in bold print. Most likely where it says HTTP or POP3 if he uses outlook. Now you HAVE to have this running while he sends a mail in order to get his password. Then you can login with his username and pass and then decide whether or not to file the divorce papers.

Hope your husband is truly faithful!
Reply:Here's what I do, but may not work in your case. My ISP gives me 10 email accounts for me to use, I gave one of them to my daughter to have. She assigned her email a password, in which I told her that I needed to know in case she forgot. So I wrote it down for her and told her I need to help her change it if she ever wanted to change it. The reason why I do this is because she's into the "myspace" euphoria. I use that email/password to monitor her myspace activity. I open up the myspace site, click the "forgot password" link, they email the password to her email, I open up her email, and log into myspace to see what's she doing. She's actually changed her myspace password many, many times, but I keep hitting the "forgot password" link on the site, and they email it to her email box, (which I have her information) I don't know what your ISP, or email accounts you're using, but that's what I do to monitor my daughter's email, and her Myspace activity. It's easy for me to be in charge with my daughter in my situation. Also, some people keep their usernames and passwords saved on their login windows from the last time they used it. Open up the email program and see if his information is still in the window displayed. It'll have his username displayed, and his password window should be a bunch of dots or asterisks.
Reply:Just a thought. Have you tried actually talking with your husband about your suspicions? If he denies it and you KNOW it's true, then you should just divorce his *** before any children even enter the picture. TRUST ME! My parents got a divorce when i was 3 and it messes with you. SPARE ANY AND ALL CHILDREN FROM THAT NONSENSE.

But first you should try to sit down and CALMLY explain how you are feeling and try working it out before hand. If you love is strong enough, it will conquer anything
Reply:You need a key logger, it works if there is no anti-virus program. you can install it in your husband computer and monitor his activities.
Reply:You can't really guess what someone's password is. Sorry, but it's not possible to access their account without knowing their password. You could just ask him about this, you know.
Reply:well if you know him well, you could guess what his password is

thats what i would do
Reply:hahahahahahahahaha

try to hack his computer...lol

no ways I think and I suggest you to NOT listen to the e-mails that tell you "give us your password and email and we will email you you friend's password"

you can do it your self(hacking)

make a new account and name it "password_machine" or something like that with incorrect information and send emails like above one to your friend :D

or even you can take a look at the questions that the email service provider will ask you to give you the password(change that and then give you) and then(like birthday and stuffs like that) very friendly ask him those questions.

(social engineering)

-H4cker

by the way I suggest you to NOT start a family with someone who is not faithful even to his wife (or gf or whatever).

if you even know his password that would help you in THIS section but have you ever think of what if he start with another one?

that would not help you

up to WHEN you two want to be unfaithful to each other?

no

this life will not go on well

Reply:you could set up a proxy and phish his pass or you could beat the living hell out of him till he complies
Reply:If you don't trust him, don't start a family. But don't do things behind his back online. Hire a private detective or hire a hacker. He is going to deny anything you accuse him of doing, so trust your gut when you get the info. Don't start a kid with a person you don't trust Please!

How did my friend get my email password when very far from me?

My friend lives in South Africa while I am in Kenya. He got my password online and told me. He refused to tell me his trick. He is a computer genius and I wonder how he did it. He did not guess because he has done it twice and I use very strong passwords that I even sometimes forget. He has no one to watch out for me. How did he do it from that far away?

How did my friend get my email password when very far from me?
You sure you don't have spyware on your system, or remote control software?

Google these freeware programs to secure your pc.

-) Download %26amp; install Firefox as your web browser.

-) Install macromedia flash %26amp; shockwave, then java.

-) Download CCleaner %26amp; run it.

-) Under CCleaner startup options, remove all but your yahoo, antivirus, or possibly firewall.

Don't use Internet Explorer again! Firefox is more secure, + built in tabs, %26amp; popup blocking.

-) Download zonealarm free edition firewall %26amp; install it.

-) Download AVG free antivirus, install %26amp; update definitions.

-) Download Spybot Search %26amp; Destroy %26amp; update definitions.

-) Scan your pc with AVG, Spybot, %26amp; trend micro online housecall.

P.S. Didn't tell us what program he get's your password from, such as IE, PC logon password, or whatever.

Need to be more specific to know how it happened.

Thanks!
Reply:He most likely used a KEYLOGGER or some other application to steal your password. A Keylogger is a form of Spyware that tracks down your every key stroke and in more severe cases exploit other things about you such as your Credit Card number and your other credentials.

Your "friend" tried to HACK you! He attempted to steal your password and it's quite easy to do with the programs they have now. Luckily, it's as easy to get programs to stop this from happening again.

ZONE ALARM

A free firewall that will stop anyone trying to enter your computer to STOP, and does so quite effectively.

MOZILLA FIREFOX

I'd assume you're using Internet Explorer, a program that's quite inferior to Mozilla Firefox. Not only is it faster and more lightweight, it also provides better security and will prevent most nasties from entering your computer.

AD-AWARE

An easy-to-use Spyware Busting application. It scans and eliminates any instance of Spyware from your computer and is updated quite frequently.

Also, there are many programs in the internet to stop Keyloggers from tracking each keystroke down.

Is there a software that I can use to get the passwords of email addresses used on my computer?

yes it's called big brother. You can buy it online

Is there a software that I can use to get the passwords of email addresses used on my computer?
If you own this computer, you may also use a keylogger software to take any information input through a keyboard. I will not post a link to any such software, as I disagree with snooping through others personal information and conversations. Google can be your friend here.
Reply:Go to the start menu and press 'Run'. Type in 'regedit' (without ').

The registry edit form will open, take a look in there. If passwords have ever been saved they will be encrypted in there. Be careful not to edit anything in there... You could stuff up your computer big time.
Reply:There is a program called SIW (system information for windows) that can show you "secrets" stored on your PC.

if the "remember me" or "save my password" option has been checked on your email client, then SIW should be able to show it to you.

Can someone tell me where I can get help to find passwords for email addresses.?

I have a spouse in Zambia who I want to keep an eye on but I am in Kenya. Her email can help me alot. If you can contact me at j.keny at yahoo. Or tell me someone who can get an email password by just knowing the address.

Can someone tell me where I can get help to find passwords for email addresses.?
You should not be with someone you have to spy on!! Just ask her for her password if she wont give it!! She has something to hide!! Me and my husband knows each others passwords to everything....NO SECRETS HERE!!
Reply:I don't think that there is a way to get a password just from the email address and even if there was a way, you shouldn't do it.
Reply:If you want to keep an eye on your spouse for infidelity, email hacking isn't exactly the best way. It's not illegal, but you are infringing on his/her privacy, even if you are married. Betraying his or her trust in you can be tantamount to him or her betraying you.

The most effective way is to keep a good wide open mode of communication with your partner. Human conscience will eventually hint you on acts of betrayal.
Reply:trying to find ways to access others email and password is called phishing and it is illegal. might wanna think about that. and just like the gal said above there,,,why be with someone you can't trust.
Reply:Nobody, not even email service providers unless compelled by law, will help you in this case. Even though both of you are married, your spouse is still entitled to her own privacy.

If you might want to think of what she might used as a password. For example, her short name, nickname, ID number, maiden name, etc, and combinations of them.

Maybe you know her password(s) for other programs. Most people are creatures of habit and frequently use the same password.
Reply:I would b careful cuz that is considered hacking n could get u in trouble.Believe me a lot of people would love nothing but to have there mates or kids passwords to check on them but unless they give it to u it considered to b n invasion of a person privacy. You could go to there settings and check mark the spot where it says remember my password so when the person goes to log on again it will remember for the next time they go to log on.The person prob won't notice the check mark n then when u go to log in n put there ID it will automatically fill in the password part. It's worth a try.Not sure if that works but it was just a thought.

Should husband and wife share email passwords?

I'm going to answer in a way that sounds contradictory but it is how I feel:

There shouldn't be a reason why you CANT....and there shouldn't be a reason who you MUST.

If I were to ask my husband for his, I'm 100 percent confident he would give it to me without blinking an eye.......and he's 100 percent confident that if I had it, I wouldnt be looking at it everyday without a legitimate need to do so.

The issue with trust is , when you really have it, there is no need to PROVE it.

Should husband and wife share email passwords?
Absolutely not. A friend might need to discuss a very personal matter and it should be private.

If a man or woman is being deceitful sharing a password is not going to give you anything......

I don't understand why you would want this.....

Everyone is entitled to some privacy.....
Reply:my parents don't even have that problem, they just use the same email adress... why would you need to hide anything from your husband or wife?
Reply:I think that it is healthy for a marriage for the husband and wife to have something to themselves. it doesn't mean that there is something to hide, just having something to enjoy on your own.
Reply:I dont see why not, if there is nothing to hide then sure.. I have my hubbys and he has mine and we dont check each others email or what not unless one of us asks. Nothing to hide.. just trust i guess
Reply:Absolutely. You both open the snail mail dont you?
Reply:Of course - if you are sharing your body, you should be sharing everything.
Reply:everyone in my family has my email password.

at least to my main email.
Reply:Why not? Unless you have something to hide from your wife. Even back then, my future husband told me his email passwords so that I could check for him his emails and stuff, it's perfectly fine. It's a very basic way of letting each other know, that there's nothing to hide and there are no lies. Now, we share personal email accounts and business accounts together. It's about trust. If you can't trust your other half, you can't have a relationship, let alone, marriage.
Reply:No
Reply:No.
Reply:they share everything,,why not unless one has something to hide.and i say why not cell phones as well.
Reply:BEEN MARRIED FOR A LONG TIME WHY WOULDNT I SHARE AN E--MAIL ADDRESS I SHARE A HOME ADDRES A TELEPHONE A CELL PHONE EVEN A BED AND EVERTHING ELSE GEE I THOUGHT MARRIAGE WAS ABOUT SHARING WITH THE ONE YOU LOVE THE MOST! SO WE SHARE
Reply:Why not???
Reply:depends on the insecurity and lack of trust on the woman's part...

do you have such little faith in your husband or are insecure enough to believe that he is creeping?

do you think that....by asking him for his password...that THAT exact insecurity and lack of trust will not validate his reason for looking for ANOTHER woman who WILL trust him??
Reply:Not really. Just becasue you are married doesn't mean you shouldn't have your own account that is private from the other. Everyone needs to have some space in a relationship.
Reply:it shouldn't be an issue. my husband and i both use the same passwords for everything! we never check each other's email, because we have nothing to hide! i think it's okay to share passwords, but you shouldn't have to "check up on" your partner.
Reply:Sure, we do. We share the account.
Reply:yes they should always share, unless there is something they are trying to hide.
Reply:Yes, why not? Unless someone has something to hide.
Reply:You should have separate email accounts and passwords. Some times you just want to gab with your girlfriends. I'm pretty sure they wouldn't be happy if they knew someone else was reading the personal emails they sent to you.
Reply:Depends..
Reply:no
Reply:No, not if you trust your significant other.
Reply:why not? you got something to hide? im not married to my boyfriend ..YET and we share email password etc.

Is it possible that yahoo email passwords can be stolen by another user?

i suspect my email addresses were hacked..i checked the yahoo profiles and both of them says invalid, no picture/profile shown..i cannot even log in anymore..it says my password was invalid, funny cuz the last time i logged in was last week... then even my geocities website, yahoo photos and most of all the emails are all gone.. they were both terminated without my knowledge and my doing... is this possible to happen? can email account really be terminated by another user from another country who didn't know ur password?

Is it possible that yahoo email passwords can be stolen by another user?
If it is email -- Email is deactivated after a non use period of 4 months , once deactivated everything in the email is lost To reactivate follow the prompts when you login to email. To stop email from being deactivated, make sure you use it.

Primary accounts/main are NOT deactivated for a non use period

NO your account cannot be deactivated by another user. Yahoo deactivates accounts.

Your account can be deleted by another user but only if they have the password. Without the password it cannot be deleted.

If you run a booter ..spamm..... violate the law ... cuss or abuse chatters among other things ... and Yahoo receives and abuse report ... and RECEIVES A COPY OF THE PAST CHAT SESSION (SCREEN SHOT) , Yahoo has the USA courts legal permission to deactivated or ban accounts.

minor banns can last for 8 hours.........others years..most times it is only the ID that is banned........ for major violations it is an IP bann and deactivation of all accounts.

If it is a main primary account that has been deactivate -- it has been deactivated by Yahoo, and no chance of getting it back.

When we click that we accept Yahoo's terms of service we accept the fact that Yahoo owns all these IDs , and can do with them as they please, not us.
Reply:The answer to your question is YES. If you've been chatting a fairly long time to someone, very likely you've shared personal information with them, and they've perhaps been able to figure out your password. When they have your password, Yahoo thinks it's you signing in. And YES a person from another country CAN access your email account and terminate it. Again, all they need is the password. You may have accidentally left Messenger open, thus allowing anyone to get into your email account.

What you've experienced is so very common. Last week, if you suspected that something 'wasn't quite right' when you attempted to sign in, then you should have changed your password, and maybe some other information in the account. Likely as not, Yahoo will ask you if you tried to make your account more secure by changing things when your were first suspicious and if you haven't, they may suggest the fault is YOURS, and quite frankly, it is. We're all responsible for the security of our accounts.

My best advice to you would be to move on. Open another email account and secure it as best as possible. Do NOT share the password or any other information pertaining to the account with anyone. NOT ANYBODY!! Good luck.
Reply:Stolen yes, without password, no.

1. Report your suspicions to yahoo immediately.

2. Get your computer scanned for spyware. You may have a key logger on your computer, or you may have been phished by a phony log-in page.

I have included a direct link to Yahoo's what to do.

Good Luck!
