How do I gain the email address and password to my sons secret email account?

My son told me he has a secret email account so I can't see his business. He is 11. I can say I am not too computer savy. Is there something I can download to get this information while he is at school?

How do I gain the email address and password to my sons secret email account?
No, but you can take his whole computer away. Remember, he is only 11.
Reply:Hello,

There are many programs available for monitoring your child's access to the Internet. Here is a link with several reviews:

(apologies for the long link)

I agree that there is nothing wrong with some monitoring of a child's access to the internet. I disagree with what was stated above. E-mail is not 100% safe and you never know who they are talking with or giving out personal information to online. I believe reading every word they type is going overboard, but knowing which web sites they access and checking some instant messages once in a safe is a safe and reasonable thing to do.

Reply:I believe, every one has his/her own life. whatever their ages are.... When he told you that, he has a secret account. that means he doesn't like to show you that account. So, let him go with his own secrecy. Cause it will build up his mind, his confidence. If you break his password it will actually break his HEART. so be careful.

or if this is not secret and he just get fun with his account, and u sure, that he won't mind if you break his mail password then you can use a key logger software. but i strongly advise u not to do this.
Reply:Please take the time to look at my answer:

there are two problems, one, being that an e-mail is harmless, many kids at that age don't have an e-mail that is actually being used to the fullest.

second, if you took away his computer it could make him annoyed and angry to a state that he would sneak around to use a computer

i suggest you install a keylogger like the person already stated, it's legal but understand that if you acquire the wrong one it would give cyber criminals full access to your computer. so i suggest you buy one for $20 or $30 from a legitimate source like download.com
Reply:There are many legal keyloggers available on the internet for personal use and parental control. Installing one of these will record the data he enters into each website he visits, this way you can find out his log in details for his email.
