Is it a crime to get someone's yahoo email password?

My ex hired a hacker and had my yahoo password. He took emails and sent them to different ppl. Can I press charges? I know he did it because the emails he sent were pertaining to him.

Is it a crime to get someone's yahoo email password?
Yes.

Thoroughly, yes.

It invades the 'Internet Privacy Act'

Without permission, it is a crime.
Reply:If you did not suffer financially, then there was no damage. You would have to get a lawyer to pursue it and at $100 - $150 per hour, I am guessing that you aren't that interested in causing trouble.

Change your password and move on.
Reply:If he had the previous password as your ex NO.

He can say we shared it?
